Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Still got 20++ hours is the Mid-Autumn Festival for YEAR 2008. What I'll do for this year? I'm still don't know yet. Hehe!

But i can share some experience with all.... What I'll do during this kind celebration? Do you think I'll be so obedient for this kind of festival? Have a look please at below..

First, I'll help my parents prepare those stuff to pray for "GOD".

I saw those kids playing with lanterns & candles at their front gate by happily. Don't think I'll play with those lanterns. I'm 21 years old already. If you call me to burn those lanterns, may be I'll do it for you. Haha!

I'll spam 2 box of candles to boil with fire. When the candles boiled then I will take it out & spray it out those grasses beside the road. Naughty boy like me always play by this way. Haha!

Okies... I don't want to talk about my bad habits already! Let's continue with some knowledge!

WHAT SHOULD EVERYONE DO DURING THIS FESTIVAL ?

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year). Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes (aka tambun bali) together. Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:

* Eating moon cakes outside under the moon
* Putting pomelo rinds on one's head
* Carrying brightly lit lanterns
* Burning incense in reverence to deities including Chang'e
* Collecting dandelion leaves and distributing them evenly among family members
* Lighting lanterns on towers

MOONCAKE COME FROM WHERE?

There is this story about the moon-cake. during the Yuan dynasty (A.D. 1280-1368) China was ruled by the Mongolian people. Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty (A.D. 960-1280) were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule, and set how to coordinate the rebellion without being discovered. The leaders of the rebellion, knowing that the Moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes. Backed into each moon caked was a message with the outline of the attack. On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attached and overthrew the government. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemorate this legend and was called the Moon Cake.

For generations, moon cakes have been made with sweet fillings of nuts, mashed red beans, lotus-seed paste or Chinese dates, wrapped in a pastry. Sometimes a cooked egg yolk can be found in the middle of the rich tasting dessert. People compare moon cakes to the plum pudding and fruit cakes which are served in the English holiday seasons.

LEGENDS

There are many beautiful legends about the moon in China. the most popular one tells how a goddess named Chang'e ascended to the moon.

A long, long time ago, a terrible drought plagued the earth. Ten suns burned fiercely in the sky like smoldering volcanoes. The trees and grass were scorched. The land was cracked and parched, and rivers ran dry. Many people died of hunger and thirst.

The King of Heaven sent Hou Yi down to the earth to help. When Hou Yi arrived, he took out his red bow and white arrows and shot down nine suns one after another. The weather immediately turned cooler. Heavy rains filled the rivers with fresh water and the grass and trees turned green. Life had been restored and humanity was saved.

One day, a charming young woman, Chang'e makes her way home from a stream, holding a bamboo contaiver, A young man comes forward, asking for a drink. When she sees the red bow and white arrows hanging from his belt, Chang'e tealizes that he is their savior, Hou Yi. Inviting him to drink, Chang'e plucks a beautiful flower and gives it to him as a token of respect. Hou Yi, in turn, selects a beautiful silver fox fur as his gift for her. This meeting kindles the spark of their love. And soon after that, they get married.

A mortal's life is limited, of course. So in order to enjoy his happy life with Chang'e forever, Hou Yi decides to look for an elixir of life.He goes to the Kunlun Mountains where the Western Queen Mother lives.

Out of respect for the good deeds the has done, the Western Queen Mother rewards Hou Yi with elixir, a fine powder made from kerndls of fruit which grows on the tree of eternity. At the same time, she tells him:If you and your wife share the elixir, you will both enjoy eternal life. But if only one of you takes it,that one will ascend to Heaven and become immortal.

Hou Yi returns home and tells his wife all that has happened and they decide to drink the elixir together on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month when the moon is full and bright.

A wicked and merciless man named Feng Meng secretly hears about their plan.He wishes chang eHou Yi an early death so that he can drink the elixir himeslf and become immortal. His opportunity finally arrives. One day, when the full moon is rising, Hou Yi is on his way home from hunting. Feng Meng kills him. The murderer then runs to Hou Yi's home and forces Chang'e to give him the elixir, Without hesitating, Chang'e picks up the elixir and drinks it all.

Overcome with grief, Chang'e rushes to her dead husband's sied, weeping bitterly.Soon the elixir begins to have its effect and Chang'e feels herself being lifted towards Heaven.

Chang'e decides to live on the moon because it is nearest to the earth. There she lives a simple and contented life. Even though she is in Heaven, her heart remains in the world of mortals. Never does she forget the deep love she has for Hou Yi and the love she feels for the people who have shared their sadness and happiness.

Another legend explained the role of the Old Man on the Moon, the Divine Match-maker. The Chinese believed that marriages were made in Heaven but prepared on the moon. The Old Man on the Moon tied the feet of young men and women with red cords for marriage. Thus a maiden made offerings and prayed to him during the Mid-Autumn Festival, hoping that some day she would ride in the red bridal sedan chair.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

New Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Debuts in Malaysia

The Evo X was officially unveiled to the KL public on the 21st of August.

Reflecting a leap beyond just a facelift or an upgrade from the previous generation, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia today unveils its flagship model with the new Lancer Evolution featuring an entirely new platform, engine and enhanced functional design inside and out.

Responding to market demands for design, riding comfort, spaciousness and a high level of safety, the new Lancer Evolution features an aggressive styling with an optimal shape while taking the Lancer Evolution's aerodynamics to a new level.

Equipped with the latest automotive engineering technology, the new Lancer Evolution showcases an all-new engine. The new Lancer Evolution draws exhilarating power from the redesigned lightweight 4B11 2.0 litre MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-Timing Electronic Control) Twin Scroll Turbocharged Engine with aluminium block producing an increased power of 291bhp (295 PS) and an impressive torque of 366Nm.

Specification

Developed to make the car aggressively quick while also making it as safe and comfortable to drive as possible, the new Lancer Evolution is a new-generation high-performance AWD (All Wheel Drive) sedan that is built on Mitsubishi's dynamic driving experience while adding a new dimension to speed with control, security and safety.

An exclusive feature and an all-new development is the advanced 6-speed Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission). The Twin Clutch SST is an automated manual transmission that employs dual clutches to deliver slicker shifting through the gears while also providing efficient power transmission for outstanding fuel economy. The Twin Clutch SST in the new Lancer Evolution allows the driver to choose from three different control modes - Normal, Sport and S-Sport - to cater to varied driving situations.

Delivering a dynamic driving experience to the new Lancer Evolution is the S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) - an advanced vehicle dynamics control system that integrates precise management of its ACD (Active Centre Differential), AYC (Active Yaw Control), ASC (Active Stability Control) and Sport ABS (Sport Anti-lock Brake System) to execute high-precision control over the vehicle.

As a symbol of Mitsubishi Motors DNA, the engineers at Mitsubishi Motors spared no efforts in redesigning the suspension of the new Lancer Evolution - the result is a new suspension system equipped with Brembo ventilated disc brakes, Eibach coil springs complete with Bilstein shock absorbers, 18-inch BBS lightweight alloy wheels, MacPherson-strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. All these to provide increased stability, enhanced steering response, better control and optimum safety.

There is no other more important function of a car than to ensure the safety of its occupants and with the Lancer Evolution, safety is not something that is added but integrated into the car at an integral level.

Built around Mitsubishi's cutting edge RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) structure, the body is designed to redirect force from reaching the cabin, ensuring maximum crash protection from all sides of the car.

For added protection, the new Lancer Evolution comes with a 7-Airbags System - driver and front passenger SRS airbags, side and curtain airbags and driver knee airbag.

ELR seatbelt with pre-tensioner and force limiter and HID (High Intensity Discharge) head lamps with AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) come standard on the new Lancer Evolution.

Every detail of the new Lancer Evolution has been designed as part of the total driving pleasure. Reflecting a lineage that made winning impressions worldwide, the new Lancer Evolution crafts a handsome and functional exterior styling for optimum aerodynamic performance. Its stylish and sleek bodylines, coupled with ample airdams and large rear spoiler works in tandem for maximum control.

For a complete premium package the new Lancer Evolution comes with Recaro full bucket front seats, multi-mode information display, genuine leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted audio controls and cruise control buttons and a 9-speaker Rockford Fosgate Premium Sound System.

Lancer Evolution X Walkaround

Design that ignites passion

Exterior

Styled with a purposeful, functional and aggressive exterior, the new Lancer Evolution is moulded around the inverted-slant nose and trapezoidal grille. The powerful and aggressive front fascia features large air intake openings and new ducting for efficient engine cooling and aerodynamics.

The engine hood air outlet and fender vents effectively extract heat from the engine compartment and provides cooling air to the engine and the turbocharger.

The large rear spoiler is designed with a twisting form between its centre and side sections. This shape optimizes airflow over the body surface.

The underside of the rear bumper employs a diffuser design that helps underbody airflow more effectively.

Interior

Strong emphasis on functional and operational elements are incorporated into the interior of the new Lancer Evolution to enhance driver's concentration on driving while also setting its comfort and quality level at its peak.

The instrument panel forms a sweeping arc with the centre controls projected towards the driver. This design provides ample knee and elbow space for a functional and comfortable cockpit environment for the driver.

The multi-information display provides driver with at-a-glance vehicle status information, including: fuel gauge, Twin Clutch SST mode and S-AWC operating mode.

The new full bucket front seat design is created by Recaro. Widely known for its excellent hold and support, the new seats offer improved seating comfort, easier ingress and egress as well as additional safety with factory-fitted SRS side airbag.

The new Lancer Evolution comes with a small diameter steering wheel designed for precision drive, control and comfort. Its genuine leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel provides comfortable fitment to the hand.

Additional accessory featured to complement the new Lancer Evolution's refined drive is the electric slide and tilt sunroof.

Delivering evolved driving performance

The Heart of the Evolution X

The new Lancer Evolution is powered by a new turbocharged engine - the 4B11 - type 2.0 litre 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control).

Aluminium parts are used extensively for weight reduction. This new engine is 12 kg lighter than the 4G63 (previously used in the Lancer Evolution IX) with the use of a die-cast aluminium cylinder block, head cover and chain case.

Using a titanium-aluminium alloy turbine wheel and aluminium alloy compressor wheel, the turbocharger has been optimized for better response.

The adoption of a rear-facing exhaust layout has allowed the engine to be mounted lower, lowering the centre of gravity to a more stable position.

Transmission

The new Lancer Evolution is mated to the new Twin Clutch SST 6-speed automated manual transmission that eliminates the need for a clutch pedal and provides smooth shifting between gears.

Twin Clutch SST uses clutch instead of torque converter to transmit power, it automatically optimizes shift timing allowing drivers to accelerate faster with less power loss and also returns excellent fuel economy.

The Twin Clutch SST utilises two multi-plate clutches for the six forward ratios - one for the set of odd gears and one for the set of even gears. Like having two 3-speed manual transmissions, as one is engaged to the other is pre-set at the next gear.

A toggle switch is located at the base of the shift selector, allowing the driver to choose between Normal, Sport and Super Sport modes for a wide variety of driving situation ranging from driving around town to tracing a tight line on a winding road.

Lightweight magnesium paddle shifters are mounted on the steering column for quick manual shifting.

A complete peace of mind

A comprehensive approach on safety takes a pivotal role as the new Lancer Evolution is built around Mitsubishi's exclusive RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body. This strong assembly employs the use of high-tensile steels and rigid frame beams to ensure maximum occupant protection. The body is designed to direct impact forces away from the occupants.

Offering all-round safety is the 7-Airbags System - driver and front passenger SRS airbags, side and curtain airbags and driver knee airbag.

The new Lancer Evolution also comes with AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) which adjusts the headlamps in the same direction as you steer to provide better view angles and improve driver visibility at night.

Engine immobilizer and security alarm also come standard.

Reinforcing total comfort

Combining driving performance with comfort, the new Lancer Evolution is fitted with a 9-speaker Rockford Fosgate Premium Sound System with audio controls mounted on the steering wheel.

Operating the new Lancer Evolution is made more convenient with the keyless operating system that allows the drive to lock or unlock the doors and to start or stop the engine without having to take the key out of pocket or handbag.

Now, for those of you who know a thing or two about cars – you’d have to agree that the Evo isn’t just a car. The Evo X hails from a long line of Japanese thoroughbred racing machines. Ask any hot-blooded male and he’s probably, at some point of his life, daydreamed about owning one. All one needs as proof is to spot the countless Wira-lutions (Proton Wiras modified and dressed to look like Evos) that litter the streets of KL and suburbs of our beloved Bolehland.

All the buzz that the car has created is quite amazing really. We’ve seen The Evo X swallow up the competition, and run rings (literally!) around the Subaru Impreza – watch Jeremy Clarkson’s Top Gear review here.

So it was only appropriate that we created a website befitting of the car’s stature. And as a result, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X microsite was born - to the delight of car purists and boy racers alike!

Google Chrome

It has been known as the first real Web 2.0 browser, its simple, speed and function. A few bells and whistles to it. It may therefore be a good & a bad thing.

And that this is after all a Beta version, which means that there will be further strengthened, skills and bug fixes to resolve before they become a full version 1.0. A good example, chromium will not be a bookmark management; things, I hope that will be able to upgrade.

I have fully indicated it around the office, the Italian waiter who did not receive his secret is no built-in RSS reader, like, IE or Firefox has been added on to it. I run around, this is my feed on the Google Reader and just live with now. Why do I give so many Members of the way for the new generation of collective While I do not buy into the whole Firefox's coup » Perhaps a little more confidence in me, Google's long-term plans for things to.

In a comic book format, Google's explanation, the technical background of the browser and Philosophy: "We do not want to interrupt any user is trying to do so. If you can just ignore the browser, we have done quite well." Volume on the trip only on the intent, the search giant. The browser is to reflect their ideals, like the contents of the primary search engine. Everything is just a tool to the larger purpose. I like this ideal!

What is, perhaps you do not know what is happening under the hood. Chromium seems to be designed to run large part of the AJAX and Web 2.0 applications. It has been built from scratch, the browser is the front-end to a Web-based applications and services, which is increasingly used in business. Google has chosen the open-source web-kit as rendering engine and has established its own so-called virtual V8 engine running JavaScript faster, more stable and secure. In addition, another important is Google Gears, which are bundled, network infrastructure applications to your hard drive.

This is essentially whether it is to run Web browser-based application service as the application of a client base. This means that, Google is able to run Google files offline and interactive and stability, and you are accustomed to the MS Office. Thus, in essence, this is not competition, that is, in itself percent, but the MS Office. This is a bigger threat, not just a browser war, if you ask me!

In a word in chromium is an interesting glimpse at what the future of computing could become. If this line of thought / common development, perhaps we can shake off the shackles of the constraints on the Windows platform, once identified, and all… I walk in front of their own, but one can only dream.
